had a great stay at a hotel in Charbonnieres-les-Bains. Mercure really impressed me with their efficient check-in process, secure parking, and helpful staff. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers.

Wifi did not work in the room, only worked in the lobby. Lack of information. A tourist information guide on local protocols, transport, recommended activities, restaurants, etc would be helpful as found it difficult in a foreign country and language where locals not always that friendly or helpful.

Helpful staff, very comfortbale room, good food (dinner) although the variety could be better, hot water and bbc world news. Very easy to get a day travel ticket .. No 86 bus takes you to the terminal from their you can get the metro to Lyon .. very easy .. Buy day tickets on the bus (4.5 euros - great value) .. but be aware the metro runs until 12.30pm but the buses stop at 9pm .. the hotel did not tell us this so we had to get a taxi from the metro station (20 euros).. Umm they seem very rare at night ..

No drawer space but enough hanging space for 6 people! No bedside tables only 3cms wide shelves! Too far out of town unless you want to use a taxi at night. Local buses stop passing the hotel at 9pm. Shame no poll for the price you pay. The temperature was between 25 - 38c .. a cool swim at the end of the day would have been great! The breakfast was over priced at 16.5 euros as well as their petite petite dejuner!

I keep coming back for my romantic escape. The staff kindly gave me a cold drink on my first stay. This place has everything I need - Wi-Fi, parking, 24-hour reception, restaurant, fitness center, Jacuzzi. Perfect for me!

Personnel at reception was professional and kind

I thought it was clear in my booking I was a single person looking for a room, not a couple looking for a double room. At check in they expected two people. I understood from the web site they would not withdraw the money before my arrival, but a moment after the booking my visa was charged for the whole amount. Perhaps it was written somewhere but I did not notice this... It is a fair countryside hotel not worth the money they asked for (one night + breakfast 140 euros)

It was simple but clean and served our purpose with regards to the location, close to old friends.

Great breakfast, creamy eggs, friendly staff, no pressure to leave. Dog-friendly. Nice room, good size, comfortable bed. Clean bathroom, good shower, convenient amenities. Amazing breakfast with a view, lots of pastry options. Convenient location to avoid crowded city.

Fantastic restaurant, food was of a high standard with thought put in to make this some of the best hotel food we have had.

Our Air conditioning didn't work which made sleeping very uncomfortable. This was the only problem with the room however. We called reception and a fan arrived at the room in minutes.

The variety of breakfast options was impressive. The hotel's location near shops and a charming town was convenient for us.

Felt like royalty, no complaints whatsoever.

This hotel is located in a charming suburban area with beautiful green surroundings and plenty of grassy areas. It is situated very near the center of Lyon, and there are bus services available nearby to take you to the train station or other local attractions. there is a quaint village and a casino at Lyon Vert that are only a short walk away.

On Sundays the internal restaurant is closed, which means guests will need to spend extra money on expensive taxis just to get to other, nearby restaurants.

The breakfast was tasty, with a good variety of foods, and the staff was friendly. The location was great for exploring the area and there was plenty of parking available. On top of that, the room was kept very clean throughout our stay.

The room itself was quite small and we had trouble fitting all of our luggage inside. the bed was not very comfortable and we didn't sleep very well.

The rooms at Mercure Lyon Charbonnieres are absolutely amazing! They are bright, spacious, and have a modern feel to them. I loved the comfortable size and the fact that they had a refrigerator, Nespresso machine, and a kettle. The view of the Monts du Lyonnais from most rooms was simply breathtaking. Plus, the pillow menus and laptop-friendly workspaces made my stay even more comfortable. the rooms were perfect for a youngster like me, and I absolutely loved every minute of my stay.

Personally, I found one feature of the room to be a bit lacking. The bathroom, while comfortable in size and well-lit with a magnifying mirror, didn't have as much storage space as I would have liked.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. From the outside, it may not look like much, but once we stepped inside, we were greeted by excellent service from the friendly staff. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a thermostat that actually worked! The breakfast spread was delicious, with creamy eggs and a good selection of items to choose from. We also appreciated the hotel's location in a locked park area, which provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

On Sunday, the restaurant inside the hotel was closed, requiring us to take an expensive taxi to nearby restaurants that were open.

The staff was incredibly helpful, providing lots of information and details. Great proximity to Lyon and downtown. Nice rooms, good parking, and reasonable prices. The breakfast had a wide variety and staff were accommodating. Big garden with play areas for kids.
